Soprano Nikola Uramová is one of the most prominent talents of the emerging young generation. In 2010 she started studying classical singing at the Conservatory in Pardubice in the class of Mgr. Jarmila Chaloupková and in 2021 she finished succesfully Master studies at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Prague. In 2018 she studied at the Danish National Academy of Music, from 2019-2020 at the Conservatorio di musica Cesare Pollini in Italy, from 2020-2021 at the Hochschule für Music Carl Maria von Weber in Germany and is also a student of the famous Italian tenor and teacher Antonio Carangelo.
Nikola collaborates with many orchestras, for example with the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic or the Barocco sempre giovanne. She has played a number of roles such as Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica, G. Puccini), Mimì (La Bohème, G. Puccini), Eutherpe (Il Parnaso confuso, J. Mysliveček), Euridice (Orfeo, C. Monteverdi), Nedda (Pagliacci, R Leoncavallo), Chicana (Da ist nicht gut zu rathen, J. Bárta), Parasha (Mavra, I. Stravinskij), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte, W. A Mozart), etc .. She also sang in the Municipal House with the Prague Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra together with Simon Keenlyside and Štefan Kocán, soloists of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, at Prague Castle together with Štefan Kocán and also performs with artists as Petr Nekoranec, Štefan Margita and Václav Hudeček. In 2017, she also sang to Plácido Domingo himself. Nikola sings as the guest solist in Theatre of F. X. Šalda in Liberec and Theatre Opava.
Nikola Uramová is a laureate of several singing competitions. In 2012, she won first prize in the junior categories at the W. A. Mozart International Singing Competition in Prague. She also won first prize in the Opera Hope category in Karlovy Vary at the Antonín Dvořák International Competition and three years later in the same competition the third prize in the Junior category. She won the third prize at the Czech Philharmonic’s Interpretation Competition from 2018 and the AHUV – Czech Modern Music after 1950’s, award from 2019. The latest awards include Special prize at the Youth of Music in Bucharest, second prize at Nouvelles Étoiles in Paris and in October 2022 1st prize at International music competition Caneres in Vienna.
